So I know the ALS ice bucket challenge has been v popular lately but I urge you to do your research before donating to the ALS association

The ALS association conduct a lot of animal testing (mice had holes drilled into their brains and were inflicted with crippling illnesses, monkeys had chemicals injected into their brains and backs only to later be killed for dissection etc) which have been ineffective and not resulted in efficient treatments for humans.

If you do do the ice bucket challenge,  at least direct your donations towards a foundation with supports humane ALS research such as ‘compassionate care’. see this article for more info: http://www.pcrm.org/nbBlog/index.php/als-association-put-the-animal-experiments-on-ice/ & check out humaneseal.org for humane research companies to support xx #animaltesting #alsicebucketchsllenge

My name is not Annie. It’s Quvenzhané.

Quvenzhané Wallis (then age 9) correcting an AP Reporter who said she was “just going to call her Annie” instead of learning how to pronounce her name. Never forget. (via hedlunds)
